Installing longer studs

I might need to install longer studs to accommodate a large
spacer (~17mm)... Has anyone try this on their EVO??

I was told that I might need to remove from the wheels, brake calipers
to the wheel spindles... ???

Thanks,

Well this is how I install wheel studs. I take a BFH and knock the studs out of the back of the hub. (Take the brakes off so you dont damage them.) Then take the new studs and push them through. Then take a lug nut and just tighten it down until the new stud is all the way through. Very simple really. This is how I do it in my driveway. It actually does not take that much force to knock the old studs out so don't hit it like Paul Bunyan.
