mix and match springs (eibach/tein)
okay, so this is a crazy question, but i need opinions on whether this is feasible.
eibach prokit front springs matched with tein htech rear springs... is this just NOT a good idea...?
i think the teins are 270 or something, and the eibachs are like stock... well the eibachs are progressive, so i dont think it would be valuable to look at their rate.
thanks
greg

A set of springs are designed to work as a set. Unless you really know what you're doing and have the funds to try out a bunch of different setups, I wouldn't mess around with mixing and matching them.
because none of these companies did any market research to find out what we really want. that's one reason that so many people buy coilovers when they actually can't even take full advantage of their stock suspension. full adjustability to get the height desired.

yap, it sucks, because even though i would love to have full adjustability (plus road race is near me, so i could get them expertly tuned), i don't have $2k sitting around for them.
i just would like a set of springs that did a minimal drop so not to completely take away all the suspension travel, higher spring rates to account for the drop and stiffen the ride, and preferably linear rates. no one makes anything like that, from what i can tell.
thanks for the feedback, and no i will not try out the mix-and-match springs...
