help with brake pad question
i still have my stock brake pads and there is about 4500 miles on the car, the brake pads on the driver side front has more pad than the one on the passenger side. wondering what might be the problem why the passenger side is more worn than the driver side front.
Aside from something specific to how to use or drive the car, the most likely cause is air in the front driver's side line. I'd recommend having all four brakes bled.
If that doesn't solve your issue look for a possible problem with the caliper.
One possible point about how the car may be driven; if you are REALLY easy on the brakes (just barely touching the pedal and making soft stops), there is a small chance it's normal wear. The distance of the line(s) to the driver's front brake is longer than the line(s) to the passenger's front brake. That extra length can allow slightly less force to be applied to the driver's side front caliper under light braking. The reason for the extra length is that fluid for all four calipers is distributed from the ABS unit which is located on the passenger's side of the firewall.
Again, I'd start with bleeding all four lines.
