Flushness may be my enemy (need advice)

I just got some new rims and put them on the Evo. They are MB Motorsports 7-spoke

I want to lower the car but with the 17x8 +28 offset I am sort of worried that they will rub. What do you guys think?

Edit: The springs that I am putting on are the Tein S-Techs to hold me over until I get my coilovers

I don't have personal experience on that offset, and I'm assuming your still running the stock size. Seems to me that if you can run a 17x8.5 with a +30 offset you should be able to get away with a 17X8 with even a +24 offset. You shouldn't have a problem with it lowered since there are people with 17x8.5s +30 with lowered cars.

You'll be fine. You might need to run alittle more neg camber than you want on the street but you should be OK. My car is slammed running 17X8.5 with a 30mm offset and neg 1.5 in the front. When taking hard turns with like say 3 people in the car the tire might rub the fender alittle.
