3mm spacers affect handling?

im trying to mount a rim that needs the 3mm spacers to clear the calibers... will spacers in general affect handling? safety issues? can tirerack or anyone else chime in for me? thanks!

Not at all. I wouldn't recommend anything larger than 18mm or so, but 3mm isn't a problem. Just make sure the spacers are hub centric and you still have the proper amount of thread engagement on the lugs

Neal,

Do you know if getting longer studs would be difficult on the EVO?
I've seen it done on Eclipse... is it the same for EVOs??

Thanks,

I honestly dont know how involved it is, but you might want to check with these guys McGard They might have longer studs for you.

FYI - H&R sells nice spacer kits that include the studs depending on spacer size....

hey neal, can you tell me if this will be good?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

i couldnt find any H&R that were 3mm. its strange no company tells me the weight of these spacers; i wanted something made from forged metal or titanium to minimize unsprung weight. thanks.

If its not an item we carry I really couldn't tell you how good or bad it is. I would hate to say "yeah those will work fine" when I don't know if they really are. I do know spacers we include with the wheels we carry are made hub centric and are not universal fit. These here look like they fit a variety of vehicles. That means they are not specific for an EVO, opening the door to possible fitment issues.
