Dunlop Direzza's caused oversteer??
Installed some 255/75 Dunlop Direzza's on the Evo 9 several months ago and now it's oversteering and is noticeably more difficult to control at high speed, especially when cornering. I dropped the rear tire PSI to 28 to see if it would "bite better". A bit of improvement but not much.
Anyone else have this issue? Could it be a strut going bad combo or something? How did you tune or adjust to overcome instability or traction when cornering? Thanks Gents! |
Instability is generally a sign of a bad alignment. Have changed ride height since your last alignment?
What are your other mods? If a big rear adjustable bar, try setting it softer. |
That ^
You mean 255/45? And I would not drop the pressure to that low. You're front tires will be rolling over themselves. |
Try moving the tires around to see if the issue remains or moves to a different part of the car where you put the tires.

Crux here is that you installed the tires several months ago. Now you have a handling issue. Why do you think the tires are the root cause? Name all the parts that relate to handling :)
