Talking Power Packages!

STAGE ONE:

Like any vehicle, it is essential that you free up the air flow in the car. Horsepower is not created by some magical chip. Every car has a formula and you must do the essentials to make power. Our Power Pack 1 includes the very basics to get you about 20 additional horsepower. First we include the RMR Filter Bracket Kit. This filter kit will free up air flow and provide you with quicker throttle and power gains in the higher RPM range. Next we will include a manual boost control. The stock boost may be at a high 18.5psi. But the car can safely be run at 20-22psi. This manual boost control from GFB is easy to use and install. You do need a boost gauge, so if you dont have one, check out our Gauge and Accessories here. Finally included in this kit is a Lineage Grounding Kit. Earthing as it is known in Japan, is a way of regrounding the cars electrical system to increase horsepower, fuel mileage, electric current, and turbo spool. These have been tested by famous tuners producing 5-7 horsepower alone!

STAGE 2:

Next step in power performance is to free up the exhaust gases. This is simply done with a downpipe and cat back. A cat delete pipe can be purchased at a additional price to run catless. We have chosen B&B downpipe and catback exhaust for this step. It has shown to produce an additional 20 wheel horsepower on the dyno with these do items. The B&B systems are stainless steel and have a great sound. Not to loud and perform excellent. The downpipe has a flange to fit the turbo perfect and fits all stock hanger locations. The exhaust has a straight through muffler and a 4" tip. Since your stock car runs 230ish at the wheels. You are now up to an amazing 270 at the wheels! Power Pack 2 also includes one of Vivid Racing CNC machined battery tie downs.

Since your car is now running some serious power and can push high 12 second quarter mile times, you need to tune the fuel. Vivid Racing recommends using the S-AFC from ApexI. The S-AFC II is directly connected to your ECU to adjust your fuel delivery. It can be controlled in by the 100 RPM and store several different fuel maps. Proper fuel delivery and tuning will provide you safe power you need. Power Pack 3 also includes a Walbro high flow fuel pump with is a direct plug in and flows 255L/HR. With correct tuning you should be pushing out around 290 at the wheels.

The final upgrade to enhance your vehicles power is upgrading your air flow through your intercooler and intake. Power Pack 4 includes the RMR Induction Pipe which goes from your turbo to your MAF sensor mount in front of your RMR Filter kit. The induction pipe is wider diameter then stock and has a smooth inside unlike the accordian looking stock unit. Along with this we recommend the RMR Intercooler Pipe Kit. The stock intercooler piping is sufficient, however the joints of black mesh are flexible and the diameter of the piping is narrow. The RMR piping is a complete kit with silicon joints to increase flow and add some style. To finish the Power Pack 4 off, we recommend with the upgraded boost and tuned fuel to switch to a different diverter valve. Now you don't want to use a 100% atmosphere valve as you will have idol and stalling problems. So we recommend the Forge Recirc Diverter valve as used on our Project EVO. This will keep your turbo spooled up between shifts, give you a great sound, and look to your engine. Now that you have 300 Wheel Horsepower (375-400 at the crank), your car is basically complete!
