Green re-visited
Hey Guys,
Just retuned my MR again after driving with the new turbo for 2 weeks in low boost, I feel it is time to open up to its full potential
This is one of the heart-breaking series dynos in which my car with full bolt-ons with stock turbo un-tuned made 230whp / 260wtq, while stock turbo tuned with full bolt-ons my car made about 291whp / 310wtq.
The average figures of 353whp/350wtq is with FP Green tuned to 28psi, plus Jun turbo manifold as additional bolt-ons.
The beauty of this turbo is that it makes even more torque than stock turbo. Slight lag is expected from a bigger turbo, however it's not really that bad compared to stock-untuned turbo baseline. Once the turbo spools up, power comes in very pronounced and pulls very hard. I really like how my car is making great power while still being very quiet like stock, thanks to the HKS high flow cat and Blitz exhaust. I can imagaine even more power can be squeezed out with a test pipe and straight-through exhaust, but I rather maintain a quieter ride for a daily driver.
Here are the power mods:
ARC intercooler + piping
Blitz surge tank/nur spec exhaust/turbo inlet
ETS downpipe
FP Green
Gruppe M intake
HKS metal catalyzer
JUN turbo manifold/throttle body/wga
Okada Plasma coils
Baseline is full bolt-ons with stock turbo, un-tuned (140whp/110wtq gain @7000rpm):
Baseline is full bolt-ons with stock turbo, fully tuned to 26.5psi (90whp/70wtq gain @7000rpm):
3 graphs overlay:
3 solid back to back runs with Green installed, highest torque reading was 361wtq

From what I have seen so far, Red makes more top end power but sacrifice peak torque compared to stock turbo.
While Green is a good in-between option for both horsepower and torque gains over stock turbo.

I don't consider the Red a big turbo I would not go threw all the labor for just a green. I hate the dynopack dyno's not because they read low, just seem like a stupid design. Hey you car looks nice and probably pulls hard.
