FP Red 93 pump

Well I got my hands on a FP Red much sooner than I had planned due to a excellent price. I didn’t have all the supporting mods in place that I wanted before a turbo upgrade but I know myself and I don’t have the will power to let the red sit in a box until i got them... so on it went

I got my X in April and I picked up a few parts and headed down to Charlotte to get tuned by Todd from MotionLab Tuning. I had a K&N drop in and greddy TIC cat back (still had stock cat & DP) and pulled 350wtq/300whp with a boost pill on a dyno dynamics. At the time I was thrilled with the way it drove and how much more power a tune could get out of it. It really was a night and day difference.

Flash forward to a few weeks ago, and I come across a FP red for sale that I couldn’t pass up. I installed the red, down pipe, 3 port and modified stock 800cc injectors. Todd emailed me some updates so I could get the injectors dialed in safe enough to get down there. I am curious to see how long the stock clutch will hang on. Meth will be added in the spring before autox season starts up again.

My gas mileage has increased, by ~3mpg city 5mph highway since I only boost when I want it to now. I found the slight turbo lag I have now has made the car easier to drive in the city and prefer it to the stocker in my daily commute through a dozen stop lights.

So my current set up:
FP Red on 93 pump at ~26psi falling to ~24
800cc modified stock MotionLab Tuning Injectors
Grimm Speed 3 port
Xtream boost down pipe
Resonated test pipe
Greddy tic cat back
2 pc UICP
Cone filter

Chart:

My chart with a terrible paintshop overlay of a bloush 2.0/meth tune Todd did on the same dyno for a comparison. the dom2 tune was obviously a little more aggressive with the meth, and it was cool to see how close they were with spool up on similar mods.

I couldn't be happier with my experiences with Todd. He has been very helpful especially with the remote etunes when i add new parts

my original chart with the 300whp is miss-scaled so that is why it is not posted.

Way to let your {rooster} hang out!

P.S. - Forum filtering a perfectly acceptable word imo.
