Hey guys!

I recently purchased the new '10 MR Touring from Sam over at South Coast (amazing guy btw!) and after driving it around for a little bit, went on over to see Mike at RRE for some basic mods!

Here's what I had installed:

AEM Cold Air Intake
Ultimate Racing Upper/Lower Intercooler Pipes
Ultimate Racing Downpipe
Test Pipe + MXP Catback Exhaust
EcuTek Tune

Nothing crazy, just letting the car breathe better

Anyways, Mike did a great job and I ended up with a safe 312whp, 328lb on torque, and the car pulls significantly stronger and when mated to the SST tranny, shifting is flawless and it almost seems like I'm cheating at times lol. With the sunroof and added sound deadening material, it's probably the heaviest X to date, but hey I picked my path hehe.

Here's a snapshot!

Pink line is just with the parts installed, and the blue line for after the tune

I guess like many other MR owners, I'm hard pressed to start climbing a lot further due to the limitations on the tranny, but hey for now it being a daily driver I'm not complaining hehe. Kind of a sleeper I guess!

Thanks to Mike, Robert, Sam, and all the helpful people at RRE, and also Smash from South Coast :P

Did you get a base hp/tq reading on the dyno before installing parts and/or tune?

With the new reprogrammed SST software, do you find that there is still a lag when you hit the gas from a dead stop (even with the new hp/tq?) and does it just rev up faster to redline, so the shifting occurs quicker? Also, does the confusion that sometimes occurs when rolling to a stop, not completely stopping, then hitting the gas, go away with the extra hp/tq? Thanks.

No unfortunately there was no reading for just stock/baseline.

I haven't noticed any confusion or lag while just driving it normally because whenever I feel like pushing it, I switch to manual mode and it's quite responsive kind of like a real manual car.

is the yellow numbers are stock untuned? if yes, the 294 wtg are pretty high. That's like flywheel 300 lbs torgue bone stock. Anyway , congrats on your new power brother.

Always good to see guys with the SST going for some more power! I know how you feel about the extra weight - The MR Touring is basically the same car as the 2008 MR Premium from Canada, just no boy racer wing, which is fantastic!

How does this Dyno compare to the Dynomite one at HB Speed?

I have no idea...I think my buddy got similar mods and got it tuned at HB Speed and got around 330-340whp or so? The only thing he had different was an aftermarket FMIC, but I'm not sure exactly how much he'd gain from it.
