Dominator 2.0 w/ATP External WG

Hey Guys-
Just wanted to give everyone a quick update. The car was down all winter getting a lot of work done. I plan on doing a full write up with pics in the show and shine section, but for now, here is the dyno graph.

As you can see, the final results are 418 whp and 344 wtq. I was a little disappointed in the final results using the external waste gate set up, I was expecting a little more. I probably could have gotten a little more out of her but my tuner, Hill thought it best to keep it conservative seeing that it is a track car.

Special shout out to Hill and the entire Agile Crew. Cant wait to see you guys at the track!

Looks pretty good to me? What other mods?

Also, the fact that it is external wastegate does NOT = more power. The 'gain' comes from the separation and then smoother merger of the turbine flow and wastegate flow. Also, external gates generally have better boost control than an internal gate.

Lastly, I think you're just about at the flow limits of the compressor wheel

+1 on the mods list. Im running a Dom 2 also and put down 393whp on a really conservative tune due to the 255 fuel pump not working at all. Good number though.

I'm aware of that. The reason I expected more power is because the external setup eliminates the boost taper issue that internally gated turbos suffer from. As for the limit of the turbo I'm only running 24psi. I believe people have run these turbos at 26 and even 27psi if I'm correct. Either was I see a 35r in my future

It's not a boost limit, that wheel will do 60 psi if you push it hard enough. It's the flow limit. It'll only flow so many lbs/min before it chokes out, and I bet you're getting close to it! Also, when you get to the flow limit, the boost level drops.

Im running simular mods minus the fuel pump. The one I order was a dud, didnt want to work. Before I turned the boost down until I get retuned, I was running 27psi tapering to 24psi on a inturnal wastegate. The tuner didnt touch the timing because of having the stock fuel pump.

Congrats.. we all will always be disappointed with the power we make. Also, what road courses do you visit.. you are north of me 1 hour or so.

Nothing much but a dyno day at CPE in beltsville, MD.

There is a FATT at Summit on the 2nd, but I do not think I have my car dialed in by then. Let me know of anything coming up maybe I could meet you guys.. My parents live in Jersey so it is not a stretch.

It's an open dump setup. To me it's the only way to go on a turbo car.

He said he could of got more power but he didnt mess with the timing. Im going back in May to get a working fuel pump and cams installed.
