Did you run out of fuel or keep it conservative until you build it? If you are stock clutch then its days are numbered.

Red + 27psi + 1000cc + E70/E85? Definitely pushing it.

Throw some 2k's on there!

Or use a double pumper...that was my setup and had enough fuel.

Who's putting the motor together, Ron? What all are you building, just pistons/rods or the whole thing?

you doing drop in work, or are they taking out the block and machining it? my local tuner (2 of them) both recommend taking out the block and machining it with larger pistons like 86.5 or so. It doubles the price of engine work, but they say its just worth it... I wonder what people's opinions of that are? on a sub 15k mile engine as well (10500 and counting)
sorry to threadjack but it is a relevant question for you as well

Block it being taken out. No im sticking with std and honing it, i was asked also, but i have no need for boring it out im perfectly fine with keeping it 2.0. 1000cc should be just fine for 400-500whp murlo did it just fine. Yea my engine just hit 14k. The prices werent actually that bad really, with everything ive sold it basically paid for all of my internals. I have alot of crap i dont use at home anymore lol so my junk was another persons treature =]. Its the labor and more tuning that is all i really need to pay for now. Im only paying about $3k for my build now instead of like $5-6k thanks to selling stuff =] . I wouldnt be doing it but murlo gave me a scare, so being safe now.
