my X on a Dyno Dynamics

Just had my car tuned on a dyno dynamics. I just wanted to post and have some comments/ critics on the graph :

My power mods are:

- AMS Intercooler
- AMS UPIC
- AMS HFC
- HKS Hi Power exhaust
- ETS Intake

on the dyno ( temperature was 67 degrees), the boost was set at 19psi, and after the 5th pull, I ended up with 282whp/295tq.
Do you guys think my numbers are fairly good?

Kinda hard to comment because there is no baseline reference or AFR. How's the car on the street; does it pull better and is it smooth?

Why a fifth gear pull and only 19 psi?

He is stating that after 5 pulls on the dyno, the tune was finalized.

19psi peak is less than stock.
For that boost, the power is great. The HFC is restricting power (compared to a test pipe) with all those other nice mods, but I am sure you know that.

Its nice to see some Dyno Dynamics graphs, thanks for posting!

thanks guys.

*stock evo X puts 225WHP, not sure about torque

*I aimed 19psi because Since the stock turbo is very small, even if I boost 22, it will drop to 16psi or so at redline, now with a peak of 19psi i can really tell that the drop is minimal

*And It does pull better than stock

Ah, an old school DD...I know it well. Did they give you a graph with a boost plot?

You'll only make low 300's on 93oct at 26psi so nothing wrong with that...I assume you're 91oct.

Increase of 60 peak horses should definitely pull better. Have you thought about switching to E85? Should run cooler and get your more horses.

Mlomker >

-- old school DD? ahah ... well I'm on 91 oct . I have the boost and AFR plot and I will try to post it once I get home.

Johnnyddn>

-- I would only use 91oct for the mean time. I have a project to switch to E85 once I go turbo upgrade. (hopefully next year).

I also admit that I asked the tuner guy to have a really conservative tune since I won't be home for 2 months during summer, and the uncle will be driving it ...

i hate how everyone says "with a conservative tune"....like no ****....everyones tune is going to be safe and mostly conservative on a street driven car or else there would be a lot more broken cars. they tune it safe for a reason, longevity.

The tune is also conservative because of the boost, his tune especially at 19psi when most tuners shoot for at least low to mid 20's on pump, so his tune is a lot more conservative than most.

Mostly that keeps the torque down. On a stock turbo the torque number is frequently the same (or higher) than the hp.

19 psi; i believe this is decent for your mod list and on a dyno dynamics.
you should post the boost/afr ( and the baseline graphs ) graph so we can see if all that power is held well across the band..which matters more to me in regards to street driving.
