Ported I.M. is $75- / core fee is $150-

Are you saying the ported intake mani is cheaper than the ported TB?

Thanks for the nice before and after testing, proving that there is some power to be gained with a larger TB on the Evo X at the 500 whp range.

So you wouldn't get the same results from a smaller turbo like a green?

You'll see gains, but possibly not quite as large. The more air you're flowing the bigger of a restriction the stock components will become.

When the car was initially tuned on the stock TB and intake Mani it has a couple of "dead" spots in response. I swapped in the MIL.SPEC parts at Road Race while the boys played on other cars.

I left it there in the capable hands of Mike Welch and let him do his thing. I came back a couple of days later to get her and the dead spots were gone and the "idle hunting" had cleared up.

The car on a subsequent run cleared 500WHP with a 501.015

On the street on E85 (personal choice) the car boosts and you feel yourself being yanked along. The power delivery is unbelievable and you feel a shudder at 3500RPM from the boost taking over.
On 91 the power delivery is more like a V8 than a turbo 4. The shudder is all but absent and is replaced with an extremely smooth torque curve.

I want to thank Mil.SPEC for the great job they did on porting my goodies. Its well worth the little bit of money to get gains like this once its a "built" motor.

Should be getting a few more power compares fairly soon.

Only 1 new evo X tb core available.

rest of the cores are good looking used / seasoned tb's!

Nice.. A car in the 400whp range (like Fp green) would be great.

What exactly is done to the intake manifold? Are the runners and plenum ported and polished? Or is it just where the throttle body mounts that is ported?

Aby ports the inlet, the plenum, and the runners. His work is very impressive, especially considering how little he charges for the manifold.
