It's holding mid to high 11's about 4.5k rpm to Redline, it's just hard to tell on the pic. Also, this is the dyno wideband that you stick up the exhaust in the back, not in the test pipe or down pipe, so the reading is a tad leaner than it actually is...

Yes, the o2 sim works, it's exactly what techmaster posted. But if you wanna use it on you 350Z (your profile says you have an 07) it won't work, I had one, and they have really sensitive o2's

Any idea what kind of AFR numbers the 2011's maps are putting out stock? (before intake/exhaust upgrades).

I know the 2008-2010s ran pig rich pretty much across the board, but your numbers make it look like the 2011 X's are running pretty reasonable numbers (11s) from spool until around 6k rpm, with it only going rich during the absolute top end of the RPM range.

Also that 16afr around 2500-2700 does look scary haha especially considering you were already spooling up to around 7-8psi!

I was under the impression that someone made test pipes that actually got rid of the CEL light on the HR's? I only had a catback on my HR so it wasn't an issue for me... Just get an Osiris tune or a Technosquare reflash, they turn off the CEL in the ECU...

lol, yup, I have the same sig on there...

I cant find my bone stock dyno sheet, but it was in the 10's through the cat, so in reality in the 9's, still pig rich.

if you look at the before tune, it was making even more boost at leaner conditions. its not that big of a deal because thats not really a high load area. I drove around logging for about 15 mins, street driving, highway, redlining a couple times and had 0 knock. so I think its ok to be that lean at low rpms...

Singh,

get an '11 evo, I had an '08 HR as well with headers all the way back. Codes all the time and no power gains. You won't look back with the evo. Faster, five seats, awd...although it doesn't look as good. I miss my hr hood!!

I miss my Z sometimes... rwd, butter smooth engine, torque right off idle, a 6th gear...

funny about the hood, at first i hated it, and now sometimes i think about picking up a high mileage 03 as a fun car, the biggest thing that turns be off about it is the hood, i want that damn hump... lol

I know this thread is old, but fwiw my afr was 10.3 untuned on the dyno. Mods are just a drop in, catback and UICP. The car went crazy rich up top.

Glad to see that you still have a smile on your face

The tune really isnt any different than any of the other years save slight revisions in the MIVEC from what I have seen. There are 2011 maps I thought? Maybe not as an OTS you can download but I can build basemaps for anyone that wants one and Etune the car.

They are still pig rich out of the box, 12:1 is fine on 92 vs knock depending on application (not for road racing for sure if ran for extended sessions), and the 2011 seems to make more power because it runs more boost stock. The one difference I see is they seem to "power" out faster per mod than the 08 and 10. I need to get a 2011 with EVERY bolt on (including the O2 dump) to see though, it might just be my imagination.

I'm only mani and O2 dump away from full bolt-ons now, but I don't see upgrading those till I go bigger turbo... I don't think I'd gain much power so labor cost isn't worth it...

as others mentioned, are my afr's safe in the 2.5-3k range?

Yeah those arent really. The sniffer that DO uses dont go all the way up the pipe like ours does or a built in WB would. Since it requires flow past the sensor to read it needs A LOT MORE to get it too work and start reading.

Thats right, I forgot I left early that day and he tuned it. Looking at the time it took between 2500 and 3000 to get from closed loop to open loop it still seems like its okay.
