No problem Chris, it was worth the wait.

Also, if you had a strong understanding of math, you would know that the formulas VD uses for computing torque based off of speed over time, with weight and tire diameter etc actually produce very accurate numbers. (*again, when used correctly) They're all simple equations. My last tune was on CBRD's dyno and my VD #'s were within +/-5. Cobb has a similar feature on their Accessports too I believe.

I was asking the OP to post a virtual dyno chart up, not you. If you don't like it, it doesn't matter... a lot of people like to see it as a common ground for comparison.
I also agree that VDR is an awesome way to compare cars/setups since EVERY dyno out there is different. Even Mustang dynos read so differently. You have the mustang dyno at CBRD that reads low (or normal for a mustang) then on the other hand you have Cobbs mustang dyno that really doesnt read like a normal mustang.

VDR is a way that everyone, no matter your location, can share a common way to compare power as long as you put in the correct tire size, right gear and keep the weight of the car to a reasonable number.

Except nobody does those things...

I agree, it could be a useful tool IF people actually used it properly.

Anyway, back on topic here...

Awesome to see peak numbers so similar to a Black, but with WAY better spool and response characteristics!

I agree w/ you on the spool, but for response we would need to see some graphs of spool up time between gear shifts

I can't ever get VD to be consistent. Same car, same road; I get 100-120 whp variances (you'd think a guy would notice if the car was actually making +/- 100whp :sarcasm: )
OP: Great looking power there, I love how fast it spools from 3-4k, must pull like a train

Right on, I was just making an assumption based on my EF2 and my friend's EF3 on his IX.

Indeed

Based on the technical specs of the turbine wheels though, the X version of the EF3 should spool faster and be more responsive than the 8/9 variant.

The X variants are always far more responsive. I have no doubt the EF3 is more responsive and better spooling than the black.

However, the black setup it's compared to isn't ideal. A better comparison is the black vs EF4. It's all in the setup, hard to compare two different cars and turbos.

I am talking about the turbos' specs alone, nothing else.

Are you saying the EF3 on the x vs the 8/9 actually has different wheels?
