Modding a leased vehicle! (very light mods)
Bobby, considering the fact that you work for a Mitsubishi dealership, I would not worry. They must know what you are doing. The only thing I do not understand is why you are modding a leased car. Do you plan on buying the car outright when the lease is up? Also, I am not sure what Mitsubishi's policy is on modifying leased cars. But since you must know the techs at the dealership, I am sure you could work something out.

Hell yeah I'm buying it at the end of the lease.
Mine is leased and i do what i want to it... I plan on buying out at the end.. I go to the dealer all the time for my oil changes n they dont say nothing.. Might be because im a girl and they dont have too many girls coming in with a evo let alone a modded one
i had a leased mustang back in the day. it was very far from stock at the end of it's term. sold it 3rd party for little bit more than the residual.
just make sure you have a plan b depending what you've done to it.

I would just say be cautious of posting that you're modding a leased vehicle online. Working for Mitsubishi or not you have probably violated some parts of your leasing terms already with the mods, so don't outwardly announce that.
I sorta agree with this, but I think more so I just think leasing a 32-40k turbo performance driven car is just bad idea in general.
However,
I agree with the K&N, I bet you'll have have a problem and to me it seemed like great quality product. AP, up to you, at least you can unmarry it before turning the car back in. Cat-back, sure, springs and wheels why not.
EBCS, MBC, or boost-pill removal...just seems like a bad idea.
But if you take your car in for service, it's none of their business what your purchase/lease status is. Customers are customers, they should all be treated great IMO.
Good luck.

The only penalty I would see that they would give you for modifying a leased vehicle is making you buy it rather than taking it back at the end.
Btw that K&N claim of paying for unwarrantied repairs seems like B/S to me. Just sayin.
Most leased Evo returns go straight to auction. My buddy buys them all the time. He bought one that had cams exedy twin and upgraded turbo I think fp green.Mitsubishi Dealer's don't want them back.
If you plan on buying it at the end who cares, do what you want to the car.
