Boostin Performance- 2013 stock turbo GSR

Wow! What a difference from the stock tune. The car has come alive As usual, excellent customer service from Devin and Kristin at Boostin. Everything went smoothly and all questions were answered. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Mods:
-ETS single tip CB and HFC test pipe
-ETS UICP
-ETS intake
-Grimmspeed 3 port

Also had Devin hook up the AEM Boost/AFR Failsafe gauge and program it for safety to cut boost if it exceeds a preset limit.

Mustang Dyno,
93 octane
-Pre-install (stock tune and no power mods): 236whp/244wtrq
-Post-install and tune: 304whp/312wtrq

Take a look at the dyno sheet overlay with pre and post #'s. Area under the curve has increased dramatically. Car feels very solid!

3rd gear pull:

Nice numbers. Just get rid of that HFC and you'll be on your way! Boostin FTW!

Thanks. I stuck with the HFC for emissions, smell, and I didn;t want to increase drone. Surprisingly, the HFC actually enhances the growl and minimized any drone I had from the single tip CB

No prob. Really loving the new power and drivability. I actually don't think I've ever been to a tuning shop that is as clean, as meticulous, and as courteous as Boostin. Keep it up

Thank you for the kind words

The later model Evo X's (2013-2014) see around 22 psi for peak boost. So 4 PSI over the stock tune, but the boost curve is much smoother then stock, and doesn't drop off nearly as much.

Great Numbers. Assuming stock clutch still?

As long as you don't launch it or drive heavy, what kind've mileage will you see out of the stock clutch with basic bolt ons and tune? That's the only thing holding me back from tuning the car.

Yes, still on the stock clutch. From what I've read, it seems like "400wtrq" is the limit for the stock clutch (but of course that also depends on which dyno you're talking about). Maybe Boostin will chime in and add some info....

Getting a tune on a stockish Evo X will not shorten the life of your clutch. Its more about how you drive the car. A clutch only wears when it is being shifted / slipped. A good safe limit is 400 WTQ on a Dynojet and 360 WTQ on a Mustang Dyno.

We have tuned numerous Evo X's making 350+ on our Mustang Dyno and they are still on there stock clutches today.
