DMT Tuned 2008 X GSR (494/397)

Runs recorded on a Mustang 500 Dyno. I believe that we did another pass after this one, but this is the tune on the car for safe stock block driving.

HP: 494, TQ: 397, Boost: 32 psi

Stock Block, 93 Octane

Mods:
AGP UICP/LICP/IC/CAI
TiAL QR
Blaq-Ops Fuel Pump kit with Wally 255
ID1000 injectors
ARP2000 headstuds
MAP FPR kit
MAP oil feed line
MAP fuel line kit
Forge WGA
GS 3-port
2012 GSR timing chain
Mishimoto Dual Oil Coolers
Rexspeed DP (ceramic coated)
Custom CBE (ceramic coated)
ETS TP (ceramic coated)
Ported stock manifold (done by me, ceramic coated)
Exedy Stage 1 clutch
Magnus CMC kit
DMT Toooned

And now for the turbo:

TD06H-25G (billet)
The housings were hand cut, and the entire turbo was ported by me. It has a full 3" intake. The diffuser after the compressor wheel has been flow advanced. The neck was honed and matched to original Mitsubishi OEM specs for their original 25G turbochargers. No welding was done on the turbine housing. It has been re-cast to accommodate the larger wheel and boast a perfectly smooth transition into the outlet of the turbine housing to the down-pipe. The 3" intake elbow on the turbocharger was designed and cut by me with help from CFT in Orlando. A big thank you to Rolo and all the guys at CFT for all of their help!

The spool on this thing had to be delayed by a huge bit. I am super impressed with this turbocharger. It was my first one, and thank goodness it worked and continues to work on DD'er duty!

Pictures of the car and manifold:

Big Thanks to:

DMT Tuning
Accurate Diesel Orlando
Central Florida Turbo (CFT)

That much torque on stock block? I don't know how your Mustang is set to read, but that's a lot of torque!

I know. I asked for it to be mandrel bent. That is what I got. It seems to work just fine, though.

I am in the process of building a block to put in this beast. Then, we shall see what the turbo is really capable of. That should be just in time for the new SST files to be out.

Wow. What a great set up.

Nice power and torque.

You did a great job on this turbo .

Nice results are to be expected when you work with a good tuner and mechanic as well.

I got a video clip of one of your dyno runs, let me know if you would like me to post it.
