That's awesome, I love the hidden sub idea. I want to do a SQ focused install in my X in the near future. What was the total cost if you don't mind?

those comps are a good grand. amp over a grand. sub 300. the lrx 5.1k save alot of money. if there were seperate amps it would have jacked up the price by 1k.

audison or some of the top amps out.

its funny because i am doing the same exact setup except two idq10s and hertz mlk2.

can i ask why you didnt go with the audison bit one for signal processing.

hertz also makes some legit subs. some of the best i have heard. only thing is they require alot of power and are more than twice the price of the idq. sick setup for sure.

The bit one only just reached Singapore shores about 3 months ago...and i heard its selling like hot cakes! The optical input would have been great with the 502...but i am not too keen on the additional 'controller' in the front. Prefer the on screen display of the 701. Have heard alpine is coming out with a new processor to replace the 701 (not IMPRINT). SO far am very happy with the set up. If i get itchy again it will be either upgrading to Morel Ultimo 12 sub or adding in a CDM44 to make it a 3 way system.

WOuld love to see your install with the 2 IDQ and MLK2 ....

That has to be the nicest setup I have ever seen to save on space in the trunk.

Ha ha. Agree but i did try to keep it to a minimum and balance things out. Keep the spare tire & jack at home, removed the large rear washer bottle, down sized the battery to the 7kg odyssey. Most of the work is in fibreglass except the sub box which does add the most weight. I take that out on track

Only idiots think they designed the curtain bag to make panels fly at your face.

The amp placement is pretty slick, but even if I put it under thick window tinting (which is illegal here) I can't help but think how hot it will get with the sun beating down on it in summer and how tempting it would be for some jackass to put a brick through my back glass to try and pry it out of there.

Nice job regardless.
