Error code U0184

I figure I would ask here since it has something to do with the radio. With my recent tune the car started throwing error code U0184. It shows "AIRBAG" on the Cobb AP. However, it's universal for "Lost Communication with Radio".

Here's the thing, I've never messed with the factory Nav/Radio. Any of you stereo guru's every seen this code? If so, how did you go about remedying the code?

Here's the thing. It only occurs when I'm aggressive with the throttle. When at about peak boost the error occurs. The "ASC OFF" light illuminates when the error occurs.

Are throwing other codes? E.g. p1235? The ASC turning off after aggressive throttle inputs is most likely a problem with your tune. You should contact your tuner if you haven't already.

Anything more on this? I'm having the same issue with my AP and stage 1 93 octane AEM intake map. About to go stage 2, hope the different tune fixes it.

Nope, found nothing more of it. I can't even erase the damn error code. Doesn't seem to affect anything though.

Sounds like a bad tune. Probably the worst tune to date since you're the first to get this on the forums.

Bad tune? I highly doubt it. Besides I'm not the first person with this issue. It doesn't affect drivability at all. 342whp/349ft-lbs...bad tune...highly doubt it.

I didn't update this thread for awhile...however, the issues I had were with a bad aftermarket BOV. That issue was solved a long time ago. However, the "airbag" error code still lingers.

These are on cobb ots stage 1 aem map. Doubt it's a bad tune.

Its likely causing an issue with something they have changed in the updates that is causing this issue.

I also have this code and never goes away after clearing it many times with my AP... I did change the head unit to a kenwood dnx6140.. Last time I was messing around with the radio, I took the radio off. Before you take off the head unit, where the airbag/passenger warning light just below the deck has a little sensor strip.. I was wondering if that has anything to do with this code since it is unplugged...

I also had this after changing head units. It has no effect on the car, and doesn't have any dash indicator, so leave it. Apparently the process to clear it is stupid and complicated, so why bother.
