Sure.
Computer $300
64gig SSD Harddrive $200
Screen $289
Screen molded into Schotch dash kit $200
DVD rom $65
Centrafuse software $250 (could have used RoadRunner for free)

Centrafuse is a user interface for Car computers made by fluxmedia that is very stable by Carputer standerds.
RoadRunner (now called RideRunner for legal resons) is made by one person as freeware. It can do much more than Centrafuse but is much much less stable.

Go to MP3CAR.com's forums, theres far better installs than mine there.

Yeah I have been reading up. I've built home pc's and some pc's for friends. I'm trying to factor out things i guess. Also its easier to talk to someone a car forum then it is to talk to people that are pretty up into carputers.

Sure thing, I'll be looking around soon at the components for the pc, while they are still cheap anyways.

I would wait until june-july to buy Centrafuse, they sell centrafuse 2 now but are about to release Centrafuse 3. If you buy 2 now you will have to pay to upgrade to 3 like me.

Centrafuse navigation sucks, the maps are in chunks of areas, and each one needs to be loaded manualy. If you are in Pa and want to go to NY, you need to go into advanced setting to change the map area half way there. It's a 2 miniut afair.
FluxMedia says that 3.0 will have a all new nav system that's much better.
On a side note, using the nav around town is fine.

if the nav system is better on the 3.0 MAYBE ill fork up the cash for it, otherwise no. i hope it is better else im going to regret not getting the discounted 2.0 without maps so that i can use the new ipod integration
