Software version is likely different. Hold set+navi buttons until menu comes up, and look for version. I'm running 30.99 now, with the dvd motion hack.

It's a pretty standard unit among mitsubishis, but different software. I'd love to see some sort of change log.

Aside from the newer software package (still old maps, but updated POI and HOV lane guidance) the 2010 version has the 40GB hard drive instead of the 30GB hard drive. You can purchase the update for the 08 unit to get it to the same software revision for about $150.

scored a oem navi unit from South Coast today from Sam. paid less than the listed price for it including bracket and labor. Sam told me the unit was removed from an '10 X the buyer didn't want it. tell you what though the resolution on these thing are so bad compare to my wife's '09 TL.
