For the wood, is that a single piece or some type of tongue-in-groove boards? Also, did you leave the hard foam side pieces underneath next to the spare tire?

I ask only because my particle board inserts in the trunk seem flimsy (at least the middle one) and I think they are rattling. I thought about beefing up support by replacing with something stronger like you have.

Any tips?

Do you still have the spare? If you do, how easy is it to access?

I don't have a X so I have to ask...

Is that windshield wiper fluid and battery (I assume?) cutout in the back really in the stock location? If that is...I am very impressed with Mitsubishi.

If you did that...how can you do something that clean and stock looking for my 8?!

That is the stock location for the battery and wiper fluid reservoir.
But we don't all get the nice amp, sub, and beach boys deck (which I think looks cool).

its tongue-in-groove and is somewhat easy to remove and get to the spare tire. although I hope i never have to do it. The enclosure the amp is informed so well and fit so tight that its just press fits into place and can be pulled out easy so I can get to the fluid reservoir behind it as well as the jack and tools.

i like it a lot. Kind of what i am looking to do (other than the wood even though i like it) but i want a 10w6 or w7. i have 2 12w6's right now in my mazda millenia and it is to much for the way my music tastes have gone.

The wood was all free, they had a stack of samples at home depot so i took all of them. Just to be different at the next car show I may do glass tile. Its just for fun and to catch the judges eyes at shows.

How did you hook it up? Did you replace the factory amp all together or did you just add a subwoofer amp with a Cleansweep like device? Do you have a wiring diagram?
