Remote Start 2 Way Alarm Project for MR SST

Hi guys,

I recently bought a 2 Way Alarm & Remote Start + sensors. This will be a DIY project next week for me.

Here are the equipment i bought :

-Python 592 Responder HD Color SuperCode SST 2-Way Security and Remote Start System
-507M Tilt Sensor
-508D Radar Field Disturbance Sensor
-520T Back-Up Battery System
-PROXIMITY KEY BYPASS (DEI1101T)

Has anyone installed something similar on MR SST ? Would greatly appreciate if anyone could share and shed some light on the installation or set up. Hope more people would share and we could make this a sticky in the future.

thx in advance.

I just did a RS on my GTS that is also a FAST Key setup and you do not need the 1101T bypass...all you need is a 556U and make sure you take the battery out of the FAST key remote. That way the key isn't sending the transponder signal throughout the whole car. When you do the 556U, the signal is just sent through the ring that goes around the key cylinder and nowhere else.

Just thought I'd give you a heads up on that...hope it helps

Whaaaat? They've figured out how to bypass the damned SMART key and we can get aftermarket alarms for our MR SST's? I'm definately going to follow this thread as I really want a remote start plus a turbo timer.

yep and it has been sometime ago and there are a few options to bypass the the smart key.

1. 556U
2. 110T
3. PKUMIT3 - no FOB required but might need dealer to reprogram the FOB
4. Fortin
5. DPLK

but make sure to check for compatibility.

Hmmm, how much would it cost just for all the parts?

depends where you get them for i guess . . .

2 way alarm with remote start cost around USD 300-600
Bypass Kit ranges from USD 50-150
Depending on type of add ons you want to add it ranges from USD 25-60
Some diodes/heat shrink/connectors for installation USD 5-10

I would say if you have USD 500 to spare you should be able to get a very good kit with few add-ons and many features that beats oem.

I paid approx. USD 470 for the kit i bought as you see in the pic with shipping included.

I'd recommend to go for DEI products. Top Notch products !

Happy shopping

that's fairly reasonable as right now I can't even tell if my alarm is triggered! There was talk that they would make alarms that go through GPS so that you can check your vehicle through a smartphone anywhere in the world. More and more money goes into the car

^That does exist. The name slips my mind but it exists. Viper also has a couple features like that on their new two ways that allows you to do pretty much the same thing
