Has anyone ever used the Alpine INE-S900r

Hi,
I just wanted to know if anyone has ever used the Alpine INE-S900r on any car...Better if anyone has ever used it on a evo x...Would like to know how it works and if its a good deal for the price...Im guessing the head unit will work with the rockford fosgate set-up but i also wanted to know if the steering controls will work..Also a users overview on the item will be great...
cheers

I have an INA-W900 and it will be my last Alpine. The NAV had the problem from day one in that it would randomly freeze up and the only only way to get it to work again was to reset the unit (which of course resets all your settings for music, etc). It took nearly a year for Alpine fix the problem. The bluetooth is broken. It works in that someone can call you and it will pick up the call but you have to use your phone to dial because after initially synching it forgets your phone when you turn your car off. The only way to get it to acknowledge your phone is to manually synch every time you start your car which is a joke. This is with two different phones for me. Alpine has been aware of the problem for a while and say they are working on a fix but I'm not holding my breath. Their support is laughably bad.
