Pioneer Z130BT + iPhone = Greatness

I initially had a concern about going to an aftermarket unit since I didn't want to lose my steering wheel controls but with this unit with the latest PAC controls I have everything and more. The Pioneer Z130BT gave me full BT audio streaming along with facebook and twitter updates and full control of Pandora. The steering wheel controls are actually more responsive than when they were connected to the factory unit. For the cost of this unit I am happy I did not go to the factory nav because the factory nav was almost double.

So you where able to retain full steering wheel controls? How about bluetooth? I am seriously debating aftermarket or factory nav. Any pics?

I am actually using the BT built into the Pioneer which is far superior to the factory unit but using all the steering wheel controls that were originally assigned to the factory unit. I actually have full voice command on this unit so I hit the button that was assigned to the setup and I can say any thing that is on the pioneer.

I might have to copy this setup. How much did it run you and good place to buy?

How does the pioneer utilized factory steering wheel controls? is it special wiring or a set of codes you enter?

My car didnt come with factory steering controls.

Ran me about 1350 installed here in Dallas . To retain the steering wheel controls they used a PAC device and program each button. I watched how they did it was really simple.

Nice, and over $1200 cheaper than the factory option. Thanks, I will be looking into this very soon.

I do not have a factory amp but if I did I would wire around it for the door speakers. The factory sub is alright if you are going to keep it then just put in a cheap small amp to run the sub and remove factory amp so you get sub control from the head unit.
