Changing the Rockford Fosgate system

Hi,

I am looking to change the stock Rockford Fosgate system.

Can someone help me choose the following and where to get these:

F + R Component speakers (Which ones would you prefer?) I was recommended the Polk Audio Db6501
Amplifier
Head unit + Double Din Kit
Wiring (All Wiring including the steering wheel controls)
SubWoofer

This is completely personal preference, so it is very liable to spawn some disagreements. I personally like Diamond Audio equipment.

The things you can be certain of:
Pioneer Double Din H/U or CarPC in a Scosche or JDM dash. This is a matter of opinion. There is no better H/U than the highest end Pioneers or a Car PC. I really do like Alpine H/Us, but they have recently fallen behind. They are not bad, but, for the money, those other options will do you better.
- Use Metra Axcess or Pac SWI for Pioneer HU steering wheel controls, Joycon EX for a carpc.
Wiring
- CarPC is exponentially easier to wire if using USB components (hubs can eliminate multiple runs / guesswork, depends on your install.)
- You can choose to extend all of the wire under the drivers seat to the back, run all new wiring, or just drop another amplifier in below the seat and run minimal wiring by re-using existing stuff.
- The best option is going to be to rewire the entire vehicle, which, if you haven't done vehicle electrical, is a massive pain in the *** when it comes to door panels.

As far as choosing drivers go, though, that's all up to you. Some things that are not personal preference, but generally good guidelines:
- If going the CarPC route, get a Capacitive Lilliput screen. These can be found on ebay, mo-co-so, or mp3car. eBay will be the cheapest if you buy it pre-assembled, a good seller is tft-lcd.
- Use a good USB sound card for your CarPC. M-AUDIO isn't a bad choice for this respect.

Back to personal preference: I am installing a Giada I50 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16856176026
in my glovebox with most of the wiring hidden behind the dash. It's plug and play, doesn't run too hot, has all new tech, and can do 1080p. Personal preference. But I would never install a massive (see: MicroATX, in comparison) system into my vehicle. I'll have pictures up soon.

If you have any general questions, just drop me a PM or something.
