Real time traffic (RTT) not working on 2010
I have a 2010 MR with navi and whenever I tap the RTT button I get a message saying that no station were found (or something to that extent).
What can the problem be?

No, I'm not paying.
I have Sirius, but I believe it is not done through them, but rather through the FM stations. When I ran a search on here, I found some post where people state that they do not pay for any service, and some don't even subscribe to Sirius, and RTT is working for them....

Mine said that there was "no traffic alerts at this time."(paraphrasing) when I was just cruising with the NAV map on screen. I need to put a route in next time and then I'll hit the RTT and see what it says.
Found it, on Sirius its $3.99/month

Maybe they give it for free for the first 90 days (just like the radio), then we need to pay extra to continue?

It's very helpful if you drive in an urban area that regularly has traffic jams. I've found it helping me on several occasions.
It's cheap - only a couple bucks a month and you can bargain with Sirius - I got them to throw it in for free when I threatened to leave as a subscriber.
My wife has a 2011 outlander that has RTT and she doesn't have a subscription to sirius. We have had the outlander for over a year now so i know its not the free subscription.
My 2010 Evo also does not have RTT which is weird.

I stand corrected. Sorry for any confusion. The RTT is free! I guess the way that it pulls in traffic data relies on whether local radio stations are broadcasting that data. If the radio stations aren't broadcasting there is nothing to display as RTT data. I guess you learn something new every day
I would still prefer the Sirius/XM nav-traffic. It's very accurate and I love having it in my cars.
