I have a cable from Radio Shack and it's pretty noisy too, picks up a pretty bad ground loop whine.

Get the shortest cable you can, like 3' or less.

+2 Don't charge anything at the same time. I heard it was because something is grounded properly.. I don't really remember and I'm not very "electrically gifted". I think all the X's do this. Mine is really bad when I don't have anything plugged in and set the radio to AUX.

This.

You get feedback through the AUX port if you are also charging the phone.

Same as everybody else said, don't charge anything while you have it plugged into the AUX. It will cause interference to come throught the speakers. Actually if you pay attention you can hear the noise increase the higher your RPM's are at. It's because the higher your RPM the more electrical energy your alternator is putting out which in turn causes the interference with the charger/AUX/Radio

i never charge my phone in my car, but one thing that i can lower the noise in the back is turn the volume all the way up from the phone and turn the volume lower from my car ,it will be better, but i think it shouldn't be like that .

with any of these aux jacks, the device plugged in should be at the highest volume, this helps cut down on "noise"

You should listen to AUX-IN with your device turned all the way up. Otherwise the car is going to have to work harder to amplify the incoming audio signal... and it will amplify everything... good and bad... hence you hearing background noise.

That would be cool. I've never heard of that before though.

Charge or not does not change results on mine. In using an Android. I get the noise in aux mode with nothing but the cable plugged in, but it is a 6ft cable.

I'm having the same problem, I have a 3ft cable i bought from best buy for about $40.00 I heard if you buy a "Group Loop Isolator" it will fix the problem.
