Satellite Radio Antenna Placement

I got an in-dash DVD/NAV installed and they ran the GPS/Satellite radio (Not sure which it is) antenna through the trunk and on the trunk lid. Its nice and out of the way but the wire is going across the trunk weatherstripping. It doesnt leak when it rains but if I go through and automatic car wash with high pressure sprayers it kinda dribbles a little bit. Just wanted to see if anyone can recommend another place to mount it, or if they have any fix ideas??

Im thinking of putting a light coat of silicone on the wire just to even it all out so it wont leak, but not sure just yet. Thanks!!!

When I had my aftermarket nav unit installed, I just stuck the NAV antenna to the top of the radio (the factory antenna is located on the underside of the dash). I have a feeling that placement would not work for a satellite radio antenna, though.

There is a square plastic pop out piece in the center of the dash next to the windshield. I poped that out and dremmeled a slit in it for the wire and double sided taped my gps antenna to the top of it and poped it back in the square hole. Works great. My antenna is a square bumb almost the exact size of the square that pops out in the dash. Sorry I don't have pics. I can try to take some if you really need.
