MMCS usb memory recall...

Alright tell me I'm not crazy....the mmcs when playing from a usb flash drive is supposed to remember the spot you left off at when turning the car off and back on?!? All of the sudden it starts at song #1 every time..HELP!

This totally started happening to me. It worked for about 5 months then stopped working.

It did stop working the moment I loaded more than 12GB of music on the thumbdrive though. I think that it's more of a memory limitation for indexing rather than a failure of the headunit.

I think it's the same reason if you hook up a 32GB thumbdrive it takes like 2mins to load before it will start to play, and if you hook up a 32GB iPod it takes like 5 mins to start

ive had the same 32 gig ive used since I got the car...might not be a bad idea to go to a smaller one tho!! I added some music to it but I also deleted some songs...hhmm do you guys know if we can clear the indexing cache from the service menus?

I found mine performed better after I rotated in 3 new flash drives. I disconnected my ipod, and then took 3 USB flash drives and put 1 mp3 on each of them. I plugged in each one and then back to my ipod. The index is now faster, albeit still slow and crappy.

I had the same thing happen to mine. I even tried a new thumb drive with no luck.
