I have a 2011 with the basic stereo. I wired my jlw3 with amp to stock head unit. I have an old set of 5.25 Boston acoustic components sitting around. Wondering with an adapter if I can install up front. Sounds like stock 6.5 isn't installed using screws. Will I be able to mount adapter somehow?

 

Just wondering where you got your RCA input for your sun amp. I'm sure you can install them some how but you may need to make a custom plate, I'm not sure. I plan on putting a component set in after I install a sub. So let's know how it goes.

 

A local shop did it for me. Not exactly sure what they used but they had some type of converter to wire it in. Then we installed a bass knob so we could adjust the levels. Wish I could be more help.
