I have bad luck [Amplifier issue]
So on my way home from the gym, I took an exit ramp. My gallon of water flipped over and of course of the millions places it could have landed, it fell right on top of my amplifier
.... Immediately after I got an DC ERROR on my radio. It stopped working and was making some cracking sounds through the speakers. I checked here and saw it was maybe the fuse. However, I pulled my driver seat out and the amp is drenched, I wet vacuumed the crap out of the car, and now have my dehumidifier sitting in my car.
So my question is, if this doesn't end up fixing the problem [which it probably wont] as I think it shorted the amp. Is there an aftermarket amp that can replace that one? I see the amp new online for 540$..... but ouch, that's alot. Looks like Ill be riding around without any tunes for a while if thats the case

Man that's no good. Might be time for a complete system upgrade. I just priced out kicker 6.5x4 on a Kicker 4 channel amp for about $300 on Amazon. Whatever the case, you have options. That amp is probably fried

Sorry forgot to update..... So the unit was drenched outside and inside, i pulled my driver seat out, wet vac'd the car, and let my dehumidifier run for 2 days straight in my car.... Plugged it back in, and luckily it worked! Thank god, last thing I want to spend $ on is audio equipment lol!!

if you want to get water totally out of electronics, you have to pull them, open them up, spray with WD-40 (the WD stands for "water dispersion", it's coincidental that it lubricates), or dump moisture absorber stuff on it (which is clay and/or rice) and let it sit for a while. Even then, it's a crapshoot.
