Seat Swap SRS airbag issue

Alrighy , I have contacted dealerships and keep getting various answers to even some that the dealership cant do it

So what I did , I have a 2009 Mitsu lancer GT
Has The normal Heated Cloth seat's

Found And swapped a whole leather Interior with heated seats obviously from a
2011 lancer ,

Now my issue is the airbag light stays on ,
Am told the dealership cant reset it or im not even sure ,

They talked about modules not matching or the serial # into the seat and moduls and idk ,

If I can or do I need to just get the modual from the leather seats of the 2011 car or where it is even ?

Swap the module (the only 'box' on a bracket) under the passenger seat. Ensure you do this with battery disconnected.

I am told various things by mecanics at Mitsubishi dealerships ,

Do I need the SRS Modual from the car I took the seats from ,
SRS modual buried inside the console behind radio ,

or Id just need the original box that's was under my passenger cloth seats !?
or can I just go to the dealership to fix this with the scan tool or id need ?

I did what I posted and had no SES/SRS airbag lights...

I would do this and 'hope' it clears the light. Then go to the dealership if it doesn't...

99$ for scan tool @ plus I don't trust that dealership!

Also the car I swapped seats is not easily available and could be gone anyday and the guy I got the seats from is being a terrible *** unless given more $

should I just swap the passenger one or also both passenger uccupant modual and the driver one + The SRS modual buried way into the console or would just the passenger thing probably do the trick instead of having the rip apart two cars for the Srs modual vs the occupant sensors

you need to pull the modules under your old seats. put them into the new seats. just the passenger side.

That would be correct!
His Full leather interior For mine + a little bit of cash
I could not really pass that deal up ... but he is being a real hard *** , and wanting any more or cash as he says his time aint free .....

He is not keeping the car so he does not care
And dealership lets just say is not a place I should take it to get it fixed for a few reasons

If it costs you less than $100 cash to guy to get the sensor box under the p/s seat only - do it!

The MUTIII at the dealership must be able to re-program otherwise you could not ever change seats in a Mitsu car (not likely from a engineering stand-point).

But, the dealership will charge more than $100 (likely). And since they have the MUTIII on your car - think about any other re-programming you want done (i.e. al doors unlock at once, etc.)

...and isn't the 'other guy' who bought your seats having the same issue and wants HIS sensor too?

Replaced the passenger sensor with my oem one ,
so I do have my original one back in the car under the seat ,

still have the issue after even resetting the computer and removing the battery

Also the other car is doing the same,
the guy has no care as the car will probably get repo

So better chance re programing them with my oem sensor under seat ? or fixing it with scan tool with my oem occupancy sensor back from the passenger seat

So that did not fix my issue with my oem seat sensors on the passenger being back on the seat!
will now a simple trip to a dealer to reset and put it on the scanner fix it or wasting my time and money

No, keep the sensor on and just go the dealership. it will not be wasted time and money.

I am just sorry your swap went so bad.

GL!
