oem nav trolls

I have the stock OEM nav in my 08' MR. Sometimes when I hit the + volume on the steering wheel it lowers the volume, and sometimes when I hit the - volume or song change it goes to handsfree phone mode

it works MOST of the time, but sometimes like glitches out. Is this like a common thing and do I need to update some kinda software or something?

It seems to be a common issue. I have the same issue with my 2010 MR. Navi was also replaced and didn't fix the issue although not as often now.

Can't comment on the X because I don't have that option. But my 04 325ci (previous car) use to do the same every so often. My sister's 05 endeavor also. I think its just a glitch.
