Hi all,
I have a 2014 GSR with the touchscreen NON-NAVI stereo, and I want to swap in the kenwood ddx672bh. The OEM is double din but seems alot wider than standard double din measurements. Can someone tell me if I still need the JDM or Scosche dash kit or is there a alternative like a trim peice I can use on the fatory dash for this?

From my research, it looks like you just need a trim ring and mounting adapter. Some double DIN HUs come with, others do not. I was going to try this kit:

It's for the '14-up Outlander which has the same HU as the '14-up Lancers.

 

Thanks, it's worth a shot. I really didn't want to spend the $300 on the JDM unit, nor swap the oem trim for scosche unless it was absolutely necessary.

I'm not sure if you purchased that trim ring yet but if not do NOT get it. It's too small for the evo's original dash. Trim ring just falls right out.
I went with a double din dash kit from ebay that came with a wire harness (not metra nor scosche) fits really well, looks almost exactly like oem with the thin silver trim and it was $35.
