My HID's are dimming a bit after 8 years. I am looking to replace these asap. These are for my 2008 Evo X with SSS.

I have been looking around and these are the choices I narrowed it down to...

Osram Xenarc 66240. These are like the stock OEM bulbs. 4300K or so.

Osram Xenarc 66240 CBI. Up to 5500K. I drive in all types of weather. Clear, rain, or snow. I'm worried about being a whiter bulb, driving in these condition might not be as good as the 4300k bulbs. I do like the whiter color.

Osram Xenarc 66240 Nightbreaker. I heard these are very bright. Others say they are not DOT approved in the US. Also, being brighter, I wonder the life of the bulbs would be shorten.

Philips 85122 (4300k). I think these are similar to the Osram Xenarc, but a tiny bit whiter.

Philips 85122XV C1 Xtreme Vision Another brighter bulb with more white.

Sylvania D2S from local parts store. 4300k but more expensive. $99 a bulb.


Anyone use any one of these HID bulbs? Pros/Cons?

Those are all quality bulbs. I'd probably go with the nightbreaker bulbs myself. The guys over at The Retrofit Source rave about them and they usually know what they're talking about. Nice color temp and more output seems like a win to me.
