Here's the link for the octa-core 8.0 android unit: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Dasaita-10-2-Android-8-0-Car-GPS-Player-for-Mitsubishi-Lancer-10-EVO-with-4G/32849069341.html?spm=2114.search0104.3.16.4f5611db eKmtir&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_2_1 0152_10151_10065_10130_10068_10344_10324_10547_103 42_10325_10546_10343_10340_10548_10341_10545_10084 _10083_10615_10307_10313_10059_10534_100031_10604_ 10103_10142,searchweb201603_32,ppcSwitch_5&algo_ex pid=539f02f3-ab35-4099-91a0-89a56e82024e-2&algo_pvid=539f02f3-ab35-4099-91a0-89a56e82024e&priceBeautifyAB=5
I saw this in one of my FB groups yesterday. With most options, the resller was selling for about $480. Might be cheaper to order direct from China

this is awesome! whats needed to get this done besides the radio? mind doing a short how-to?
Well, I figured it out. I didn't have Wifi switched on in the Race Capture app. Oops
Now I have full logging and visual for all ECU data + external sensors like wideband, fuel pressure, oil pressure, oil temp, etc.
Also has lap timer with predictive timing, all logged into one file off the Race Capture unit and displayed on my Android head unit. I love technology...

That’s pretty sweet! Where can I find one and order one?I opened up the box today and realized that I ordered the unit for a 2013-2015. Not sure if there is a big difference but couldnt get the audio to work properly. So I gotta send it back and reorder the correct one.

04AWDTURBOEVO - Is that for the older PX3 Quad Core version or does this Rom also update on the Px5 OctaCore?
I haven't looked into updating this headunit since she is parked for the winter. I have read on the XDA forum that HA has released 8.0 for the OctaCore but we need the Rockchip Tool and OTG to update.
I'll probably just end up buying a new PX5 chip that has 8.0 installed so I don't end up having another project on the go. Between the car and my new truck my hands are already deep into projects.
On a side note, has anyone had an issue with their screen picture not being centered? My screen is a few degrees over to the side and cuts out some of the picture.

Also, you ordered the wrong year. Get with the seller to see if he can exchange the canbus (black little box) for your year 2008-2013.

Is there a step by step write up on how to install the new rooted ROM? I have the 6.0 2G Ram and 32GB memory. Or better yet, one that you know that's detailed enough for a newbie.

I upgraded from a PX3 Unit for a PX5 unit which I am using now. The screens are from the PX5 currently.
This is the XDA Link to the ROM for Android 6.1. The ROM is Version 6.2 MCU version 2.75.

You do not really need to upgrade to a radio running 8.0 if you already have the PX5. Flashing the new ROM will keep you happy for a while. The New Rooted ROM has an option to change screen density. It can help display your screen better but I think after you flash the ROM it will fix the issue you are having now.
You have the same unit I have the PX5.
Go to this thread and read the best you can. Is long but there are videos on how to do it. It is fairly simple. Back in the day when the older PX3 came out there was more work to get it done.
This days is easy.

The Ninja here is pretty good with this stuff too so you can ask him as well. He is the OP.
He helped me lots with the PX3 and in return I helped him with the PX5. That is how this work. We all help each other.
Success.

What I did was install TutuApp then once being inside the TutuApp, I downloaded youtube++ and Spotify++. Youtube, you can exit the app and music will still play. For Spotify it works as if you were a paying user but for free.
