Reverse/Back up Light
Is it common for the reverse/back up light to come ON for few seconds then go OFF? Just noticed this after changing them out for LEDs, will change them out for incandescent bulbs and give an update.....
I just thought it was really ODD...

some solutions were resistor pack. But my purpose was for more Lumens in reverse. Thats why im going with a GY6.35 bulb and a 168 to 7440 bulb adaptor.
More Lumens when its dark outside and tint is too dark

The OE bulb is somewhere between 10-20W so if you can find an LED that draws closer to that you should be ok. I had a 10W LED bulb in my Ralliart that worked fine but the first set I bought were 8W and would go out. Of course, those wattage figures were spec sheet, I never put a meter on to check the actual draw.

I have LED's in mine and they stay on for however long its needed. Not sure what brand as they came with the car when I bought it year ago.
I also have LED's in my Escape's reverse lights, those are Philips and no issues with that one either. They really help shine light down my long, narrow and dark driveway when I back up at night.

Hopefully those halogens don't create enough heat to warp/melt the reverse light housing. I'm sure modern plastics are better but higher wattage/wrong tail light bulbs in the 80s and 90s led to some pretty melted reflectors. It's also likely that, being reverse bulbs, they won't be on long enough to cause problems.
If that doesn't work out for you, you could always relay up a super slim LED bar under the center of the bumper. You might even be able to french in a couple of the square flood lights on either side of the license plate. I'll admit, it's not as clean but better than scraping the whole side of your Evo along something backing up at night.
