Ben Graham's EVO X, now with more power!!!!
Haha, yes nice way to leave our name out of it, classy move.
Yes, this car was at our shop first where it received:
Buschur Racing's FMIC
Buschur Racing's 3" catback
Buschur Racing's upper i/c pipe
Buschur Racing's lower i/c pipe
Buschur Racing's filter kit
Buschur Racing's manual boost controller
Buschur Racing's lightweight battery kit
Dynoflash tune on 93 octane and 23 psi of boost (originally).
The car made 308/308 on our dyno if I remember correctly, there is a thread about it here on EVOm. I could be off a few HP. That was at 23'ish psi of boost on just 93 octane, through the stock cat. That should translate to around 370'ish on a Dynojet with nothing being touched.
Ben's a great guy with a gorgeous car. I don't think there is a story behind any of this as far as Ben goes. He has been extremely happy with the car and the parts he got from us. He does live in Chicago and I wouldn't expect him to drive back to us for a MAF pipe and offroad pipe. The power sounds like it should for a Dynojet on high boost and high octane.
Sorry, one more thing, since we were passed over in the original post. I see where the "most important part is the tune". I was reviewing all the other dyno sheets from you Chris on the EVO X and happened to notice this particular car by quite a good margin made the most power compared to about 6 others. Maybe the actual most important part is the parts choice on the car?

To add to David's post this is another classy move Chris.
I liked this little "jab".
For those wondering what this little jab was all about..... On his last track day Ben blew off an intercooler coupling which could have happened to anyone. I guess thats a big deal and a reason to talk crap.
Good one Chris!

I cant say a bad thing about either shop...
The car is as fast as i need. I will say, Chris did an unreal job with the tune and the test pipe makes the car come alive. As a newbie to the whole EVO thing, i started this process to build a fun fast track car to begin to learn how to become a better faster driver. What started as a minor project has consumed my life. I have been on track 8 days in the last 30 days, i can say it is the most fun i have ever had.
I have to give it up to all that have taken the time to make this project a success. Robi for his suspension. Buscher for the cat back,FMIC and UIC/LIP. and the boys at AMS who have taken me under their wing and helped me get the car sorted for the track... I will be needing a clutch as i fryed my stock one on friday at Mid America. Eric, can you get me in soon for the Exeddy?

Oh and one other thing... I owe a ton to Ryan Gates. This kid can drive. I have become friends with him because i have inundated him with questions about what to do to a car to make it fast. everyone who is into tracking the evo X owes him a thanks. He is pushing these cars harder then anyone and will get products made quicker as a result. He is a very talented driver and has been a huge help for me.

1. Sorry I didn't put buschur in front of the parts.
2. I have no idea what you are talking about Jrod... I don't spend much time on the internet, and don't really have any idea what anyone else is doing, or not doing for that matter.
3. The thread was only meant to highlight the power the car made on 104 octane with the new tune that I put into it. It doesn't really have too much bearing on the way the car used to be, or what gas it was tuned on... The two aren't really comparable. I guarantee that your correction factor is wrong though, and it never made '370 ish on 23psi of boost'. I can prove it if necessary.
4. I don't think we need any more discussion on this... Yes it has Buschur parts, yes I failed to mention it. Back on topic please
