Any places for an ECU Tune LI NY

Hi, I just got an Evo X MR about a month ago and I have been loving it. I have been reading on the forums about ECU tuning for the Evo X MR and like what I have been seeing. Are there any tuners on LI who can tune an MR? Worst case scenario I'll go into NJ but I'm just hoping for something a little closer. Thanks.

Nice, I would say theres no places well known for tuning, especially the X, let alone the MR. I would call Ivey in NJ to see if the MR tune is available. By all the success Ive read about Ivey's tunes, Ill feel confident enough to give them my cash.

Check out evo-ny.com for more local answers to your questions.

yeah i would go to ivey. theres a dyno at nolimit in medford, but not sure of there tuning ability, just as easy from GC to jump over the varrisano to ivey, i would throw a works drop in and a ultimate racing high flow cat in first.

also if you are in the mood to wait ttp has a thread running in the evo x tuning section, they are developing a chip, that has some crazy gains.

In your opinion would you wait and just chip it or would you get it flashed? I am only looking for about 325 to 350 at the wheels.

well it looks like it will be another month for the chip, you could wait. you also need a manual boost controller and boost gauge with the chip set up. there is a chance that this chip does not do what is claimed. to hit the number you want you will need a turbo back exhaust, ulitimate racing has a crazy set up, with o2. down pipe. also a intake,( injen looks best, ams not bad.) then change intercooler. bushur looks good. after that get ivey to tune it and you will have crazy power and not have to mess with anything. hope this helped

I live in Edison NJ, you have Sean Ivey in Linden, which is exit 12 off the NJTP ( I recommend) and Turbotrix off of exit 10 on the NJTP. They both did tunes for me on my evo's (had 3) a 1hr drive from LI is worth an ivey tune even if it is $800 . Itll get done right.

The TTP ZChip will be released within 2 weeks.

The chip does exactly as it has been meticulously documented to do.

Circumventing Evolutionm.net's swear filter is against the forum rules.

We urge you to cease spreading misinformation regarding our products.

Thanks.

my friend graduated from adelphi, i have some cousins that teach at GC high, you might want to keep the stock exhaust for around there, wait for this chip thing to play out, the guy says 2 weeks.
