Ecutech and Ecuflash ??? Are they the same thing?

Do I have to physically go to a tuner?
Do I have to send my ECU in the mail?
Can one be done with the lap top and cable? If so are there canned tunes available to be purchased for stock vehicles or is the software only meant for those who wish to tune their own car?

Sorry for all of the questions, but after some searching I am still a little confused. Thanks for your help in advance.

 

Somewhat the same. They both modify the OEM ECU fuel and timing maps. With ECUflash you do it yourself, or a tuner. With ECUtek a tuner does it.

You could. For ECUflash i believe you do it yourself with a laptop.

I dont know all the answers, but i suggest going over to the evo 7 8 9 ECU forums and look under ECUflash see what they are all about.
