well, assuming the tranny will allow 260 lb-ft at the wheels, and you have a turbo that can maintain that at 7k rpms, that ~346whp. So roughly 120whp more than stock on this dyno or about a 57% gain.

Is the X MR in Japan offered in a true 6 speed manual? Similar to the one from the 9? I like some of the MR features but that new tranny is weak sauce.

I would love to get the manual but my younger brother will toast it.

There are no MRs in Japan, it's either RS or GSR SST or 5 speed manual. As for all the pretty options on the US MRs (leather seats, chrome trim, etc) you can purchase them optionally for all GSRs.

I noticed you said you wanted to run your car through the 1/4 again... You're not seriously dragging the SST, are you? The AMS tuned MR is probably putting out alllllot more power than yours because you've already damaged your clutches.

so once i upgrade my MR to the 50 more bhp, your saying the transmission wont sustain anymore modding? What are the symptoms when you know the SST transmission is on it's last leg?

No, that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is, DONT DRAG THE MR!!!!! There aren't upgraded clutches available yet for the MR so dooooooont trash the ones you have! If you have the MR, hit a road course, but none of this "drive it like youre trying to break it, 1/4 mile" I don't understand why you guys are dragging this car.... esppppecially if you have mods! If you add 50+ hp in mods you'll be fine, as long as you don't launch on this tranny.

Just making fun of voodooman... but if / when my clutches start having problems, I want you to be standing by with upgraded clutch packs Go buy yourself a Lancer Ralliart and get buisy with that TC-SST
