so even if its something as small as 22-23 psi guessin you still recommend tune correct?
Don't get me wrong, you'll see some increase in power, but it may not feel all that powerful.

I believe he meant without a tune, a MBC could cause a CEL because part throttle boost, etc will be higher with the MBC.

If the tuner adjusts the boost tables to compensate for this, even with a MBC, then you will be ok.

I just finished installing my Forge UNOS boost controller at @ 23-24 peak. I've got a AGP cold air intake and a zchip tune and so far no codes or problems. Car runs great.

I was iusing a turboXs mbc until yesterday. I went back to stock bc and got reflashed again at 23psi. It defitnely runs better with the Stock bc and I got noticable power gains. My MBC is now in my trunk lol

I run a manual boost controller on our EVO X. I can not remember if we had problems when we first installed it so I can't say for sure if you will have problems or not.

Honestly, one of the best things you can do for the EVO X is get it tuned anyway. Depending on if you want to be able to adjust the boost to different levels your best bet may just be get a custom tune and have the boost set in the ECU.

I have the hallman MBC on my car for about a year and have never thrown a code. Set to 24-25 peak.

i have never had any of these issues.. not being caused by the MBC atleast.

Your maps are not stock. Gunzo is talking about an unmodified ECU map.
