Disable Day Time Running Lights using Engine Management

Canadian evo's have a DRL that is always on when driving...is there a way to disable this using some kind of engine management? ecutek etc..the DRL is shared with the headlight so disconnecting the bulb is not the answer....also pulling fuses does not work either so i believe the DRL is obviously controlled through some kind of program...so for those of you that tune has any noticed if there is a way to disable this? or is this something controlled through some other computer?

it's usually controlled by a seperate ecu. Most of the time it's a MOSFET or a bunch of relays or a combo of both.

You can pull a fuse on the SSS model under the hood to disable the DRL's
