I was going to have a web patching engine.
But yeh I think for newbies its better they work through some of this stuff themselves..

a nice tool would be to compare 2 roms and have 3 tables shown RomA|RomB|Difference
the difference table would be the +- difference between the tables displayed. it would be killerto have a copy tableA-> TableB or tableB->tableA as well!

if you go over to the other forum, you can find some python that basically takes two roms and shows the delta.
since there is no good way to paste into ecuflash (that I know of) from a terminal window, I'd just as soon convert the ROM in script. perhaps I'll build in a table-by-table confirmation.
