Limp mode again...
Limp mode again...
Hey, can someone help diagnose this problem? Got a CEL today (1/2 throttle in 4th gear) and imediately went into limp mode. The car would barely maintain 65mph, so I had the codes pulled... there were actually three tripped:
P0113 – IAT SENSOR HIGH INPUT
P0223 – TPS PEDAL POS SENSOR HIGH INPUT
P1234 – MANUFACTURERS CONTROL FUEL AIR METERING
I'm going to head back to my tuner, but don't think I can make it there for a while. Can someone tell me which of these is causing me to go into limp mode, and if I should be concerned with driving it? (It came out of limp after I parked it for an hour). Should I just turn down the mbc for now?
Setup:
FP Red
AMS mbc
800cc
FMIC
ULICPs
UR O2 DP
high flow cat
catback
93oct
~24psi
Thanks,
Ryan

do you have a VTA BOV?
was the boost higher than 22 psi?
i faced it with 3 different evos before and the reason was the BOV (HKS SSV).
removed and kept the boost around 24 psi max. no problem.

I would turn down the boost. You don't have to turn the car off for an hour to have the power come back. You only need to turn it off for a minute. You also cannot clear the code until you have at least cycled the power to the ECU once. You have to wait for the code to turn into a logged code instead of an active code. The ECU power cycle will do this.
Personally, I would get rid of the MBC and go with an ECU based BC. You don't have to use the stock solenoids, unless you want to. A 3 port solenoid works well too.
