I use com 1 but I got a serial port. Also still don't think the value is right on Mode 23(Just looked at the rom he sent you). Mine is 23 23 52 and I log all the time with it. I run LC-1 and log with com 1. Go into device manager and see what com port it is should say com1 or com3 something like that. You can change comport on evoscan under wideband (WDB) Settings.

^ that is correct... the USB-to-Serial adapter emulates com ports, it has usually a default setting to either com3-com4 (so it won't conflict with the laptop's actual serial ports, if it has one or two)... but this is easily changeable as whitewind mentioned above.

Ray mine did that at first. I had to get another serial-usb wire to get it to work. In the device manager it would not offer any com choices other than com1. Same as in evoscan, it only offered 1 com port choice com1. I changed to the keyspan adapter, worked fine after that.

I just figured out how to change the com settings and put it to com 1. It was actually on com 5. It still does not work. I had this cable working and it's verified to work with evoscan, although i only used it in PCMscan. My thinking is maybe i do not have mode23 enabled?

I don't care if you run it like I have said before this is a good guess not a tuned rom. I just checked again and mode 23 is enabled. I didn't even have to change it as it was already enabled in his ROM when it came to me.

Cool man I just opened and was looking at everything in the rom and seen hex values where not 23 23 52 that's all I was saying. Just thought I would throw that out there.

52690019
<table name="IFMode 0x05 -> 0x23 #1" category="Misc" type="1D" address="0x7f121" scaling="Hex8"/>
<table name="IFMode 0x05 -> 0x23 #2" category="Misc" type="1D" address="0x8aafd" scaling="Hex8"/>
<table name="DoMode 0x42 -> 0x52" category="Misc" type="1D" address="0x8ab02" scaling="Hex16"/>

This is specifically for his rom.

I am posting a small section from each of the lines so you can see it is changed.

here is line 8aaf0. I also verfied that the 7f120 line has been changed as well. The first adress is common to a couple other roms so maybe your def for the 52690019 has not been set up yet.

Cheers C
