Help with OBD Monitor Readiness

Hey guys, I posted this problem in general but I figured this might be a better place.

So I went for an inspection today and I failed. My OBDII catalyst and Oxygen Senor Heater monitors were NOT ready. I've driven my car for probably 2000 miles since my tune so it shouldve logged enough data on the sensors. I dont know why its not ready. I asked the tech if maybe I have broken sensors and he said no its because I havnt driven it enough since I last tuned or disconnected the battery. Any ideas?

The car was tuned with ECUflash, and I'm not sure where my tuner is lol. I might have to buy the cable and try to fix this myself.

did your tuner disable the rear o2 sensor? or pull the rear o2 sensor?

your tuner might have started from one of his previous maps where he disabled it.

Do you have a code scanner? Mine will tell me the readiness of the sensors. Maybe you can doublecheck what the shop told you?

I have the failed inspection, it says

Catalyst : Not Ready
Oxygen Sensor Heater: Not Ready

Inspection: FAIL

edit* My car does not have CEL its not throwing any code, it had one after the tune but it went away.

My guess would be some CEL disabled in the ROM is preventing the I/M Readiness from getting set to ready. As goofygrin suggested, if you don't have a code scanner, get one and double check I/M Readiness. The $29 Autel one from Amazon should work fine for this. That way you can monitor for yourself to see if it's ready or not, and if not ready, try some things out to see if it makes a difference (maybe even an ECU reset).

would ECU reset delete my tune? I'm pretty sure i'm going to need a tactrix cable to unlock those sensors. Anyone know how to do this in detail?

You need to get a hold of your tuner. If he's unreachable you might quit pimping him in your sig...

An ECU reset won't remove your tune.

lol my tuner disappeared, but I'm going to take it back to the shop that tuned it though. They should know what to do...

I recently did the P0420 and P0139/140 disable in my tune (and ran the wideband into the rear o2 sensor wire) and I have the exact same issue. My code scanner says that the o2 sensor and cat are not ready.

Your tuner has disabled them in the tune, but that is causing the system to not be ready. You need to either get a tactrix cable and fix it, track down your tuner, or find another tuner to help you.

I'm personally waiting for an o2 simulator patch... but I'm not holding my breath.

Find someone local with a cable. I'm sure there is SOMEONE that you could meet with for 1.5 minutes to get it fixed. Just reenable the periphery bit.

Just confirm a few details with me first

Your current setup is stock cat, normal O2 sensor installation?
